I started collecting Occupied Japan knick-knacks when I was 16 years old. Now, so many years later some of those little porcelains that I scooped up for a nickle are worth over $500.00 !!
Then came depression glass, comic books, trading cards, action figures, and the really big one……Disney Pins. We have over 10,000 pins in our collection. It has taken over an entire room in our house. The Ninja Turtle action figures and Star Wars goodies have taken over another room. Last year I started looking through comic book long boxes that had been in storage since 1992. Oh, the finds in there !!
We have spent hundreds of dollars over the years on price guides for all of our collectibles and this library of books and magazines is outdated before we finish reading it.
That got us started thinking about our website: www.PriceGuidesUnlimited.com. We are all about current values. Working as an auction house partner, we are gathering realized end of auction price paid for thousands of items.
The site is in the early stages of development. Right now, you can register, log on, search our database, find your collectible, view detail info, image, and current value. Click on the item to add it to “My Collection” and then export your own computer. Build your very own Collectibles Portfolio.
What would you like added to our database? Tell us what you collect and we will add it to the database along with images and current values. We are daily gathering data from auction houses, our own collections, other collectors and adding to the database. Currently, there are listing for more than 8,000 action figures and toys, 4,000 Disney pins and 3,000 Department 56 Villages.
